I started the morning with the green smoothie recipe that I think I found in Women’s Fitness magazine a while ago. It is supposed to be good for your skin because of all of the chlorophyll, but it also a good way to get your greens and include more fruits and veggies in your diet. Combine all ingredients in a blender and drink away! It will provide an 8oz serving for 5 days. I also added half a tablespoon of spirulina powder and added the juice of a whole lemon, but I like things lemony. Here’s the recipe:
1 1/2 C water
2 C chopped romaine
3-4 stalks celery
3 C organic spinach
1 apple, cored and chopped
1 pear cored and chopped
1 banana
juice of 1/2 a lemon
